Our Founder Tilak Joshi on “Why I Started Lean”

As a Product Designer at Lean, you will:

• Make the complexity of financial services melt away into intuitive and empowering experiences, crafting life-improving products for the majority of Americans that live paycheck to paycheck.
• Help shape the design discipline at Lean – ideating and iterating on culture, processes, tooling and our design system.
• Own product design initiatives start to finish, collaborating and iterating alongside our product, legal, data and engineering teams.
• Work across our end-user facing mobile (iOS, Android) and web products, and B2B web products.
• Contribute across the full range of the design process: research, user journeys, IA, wireframing, art direction, motion, interaction & interface design, etc. Early on, you’ll need to flex to where design is needed. As we grow, you can define how your role will specialize (or not) in line with your personal goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing native mobile and web products & features, from conception through launch for consumer products. Fintech experience is a nice to have, but not required.
• Experience testing, measuring, and refining designs based on user feedback and data.
• Experience working closely with engineering to build high-quality, bespoke experiences & interfaces efficiently.
• Startup experience, or experience thriving in an unstructured, ambiguous environment
