We are seeking a skilled and experienced WordPress Website Developer and Designer to assist us on a temporary basis (3-6 months) with our websites: Popphotography.com.au, HunterTalent.com.au, and bubblegumcasting.com.au. This is a position that requires expertise in WordPress development and a strong eye for design. This role can work remote or from our head office is in Melbourne, Australia. If remote, you must be in the same time zone and available to work within our core work hours: 9am - 6pm AEST.
The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately and will be well compensated on an hourly basis. The project will take around 3 to 6 months initially. We are a super friendly, fun and hard working team, with big and exciting growth plans! So for the right person there will be opportunity for a more permanant onoing role after this project is complete.
- Collaborate with our team to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Develop and customize WordPress themes, templates, and plugins to meet specific website needs.
- Implement website updates, enhancements, and modifications using WordPress best practices.
- Ensure the websites are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
- Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve any technical issues or bugs.
- Optimize website performance, including page load speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, best practices, and WordPress updates.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as content creators and marketers, to align design and functionality with overall business goals.
- Maintain website security and perform regular backups.
Skills and Experience we're looking for:
- Proven experience in WordPress website development AND design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- You need to be able to come up with creative designs and execute effectively.
- Proficiency in customizing WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for WordPress websites.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Availability to start immediately and commit to the project for the duration of the temporary position.
