The Role

Design Leads own the User Experience for one of our three core product lines, with this specific role owning the experience of the products in our Compliance vertical. You’ll work with Product Management and Development Leads to craft a long-term vision for the products and deliver value to customers through solving their most pressing problems. Design Leads drive both strategy and design execution for the squads in their product line.

You will become very familiar with our Design System (nstyle.contracts.com) and guide squads through applying our established conventions & components to solve problems for our customers. As a Design Lead, you’ll also help the team refine and evolve Nstyle.

 

What You Bring To The Role 

• First and foremost, a desire to understand our customers.
• The ability to build empathy for what our users value and how they think is crucial to delivering a user experience they will love.
  Strong knowledge of all parts of Product Design:
  • Experience crafting a long-term roadmap for product experience improvement
  • Facilitating ideation & journey mapping sessions
  • Validating assumptions & conducting research
  • Wireframing and Prototyping from low to high fidelity
  • Measuring the success of a product / feature and iterating based on your findings
• A knack for solving complex problems quickly and effectively
• Collaboration is second nature to you, and you thrive in team environments, driving decisions and progress
• You’re at ease communicating the reasons behind design decisions to others
• Are regularly learning new things (methodologies / software / skills) and have a passion for sharing that with others
• Knowledge of working in an Agile or Kanban environment. At Ncontracts, we run a modified version of dual-track agile.
   

Your Experience

When looking for Design Leads in the past, our best fits were future team members with:

• 7 plus years of experience in Design and 3+ years of Product Design / Lead UX Design experience.
• Experience designing for RegTech, compliance, the financial industry, or enterprise B2B audiences is a plus!
